Space Sensory Bin Filler

Play is learning, even when it looks like a kid digging through rice and calling it an asteroid field.

This bin gives your child real, hands-on vocabulary exploration, no worksheets, no screen, no guilt that they should be "doing something educational" instead. If you've got a space-obsessed kid who's talked your ear off about planets all week, hand them this and let them explore it on their own terms for a while.

It also works as a go-to for the hard stretches of the day. Set it out first thing and it becomes a breakfast bin. Use it as quiet time for a kid who's outgrown naps. Pull it out when you need twenty minutes to get dinner started or answer a few emails. Same bin, whatever the moment calls for.

Little hands scoop through a black-dyed rice night sky, dig up silver chickpea asteroids, and hunt for metallic star pasta hidden throughout. Along the way, they'll uncover six wooden pieces, each hand-stamped with its own space illustration: three planets on 2 inch round discs, plus an astronaut, rocket, alien, and alien ship on two-inch wooden squares. The stamped, uncolored look keeps the detail simple enough for a child's own imagination to take over.

Allergy Information This bin contains rice, chickpeas, and pasta (wheat). If your child has a food allergy or sensitivity — including to gluten, wheat, or legumes — please review the filler ingredients before use. While the fillers are food-grade, this bin is a sensory play product, not a food product, and is not intended for consumption.

Safety Information

• Recommended for ages 3+. Not recommended for children who still mouth objects or small items.
• Adult supervision recommended during play.
• Meets CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) requirements for children's products.
• Filler is colored using non-toxic, AP (Approved Product) seal certified paint. While the paint itself is non-toxic, the colored filler is not taste safe and should not be eaten.
• Store out of direct sunlight. In humid climates especially, sun exposure can cause the filler to "sweat" and degrade over time.
• Keep dry. Moisture can affect the rice and pasta fillers and may lead to mold — store in an airtight container between uses.
• Choking hazard: contains small parts.
